Regional development

A mission of all regions, administrative districts and towns of the country is to ensure sustainable social, economic and environmental conditions and high living standards for the population and tourists alike. In addition to legal requirements, it is in the interest of municipalities to determine what strategic and specific objectives they pursue in managing and developing their region or township to make full use of their potentials and regeneration capacities. The envisaged development projects should be designed to meet both the external and internal challenges. National and EU funding schemes that offer great potentials in regional development target a wide range of activities. Experience has shown that the precondition of successful urban development is a clear vision with common goals approved by all stakeholders in partnership and a defined set of measures implemented by both the governing entities and the residents, step by step. 

TRENECON is ready to provide assistance in the above strategy planning work to regional and municipal self-governments, to facilitate efforts to coordinate the various aspects of technical, sector specific nature and that of the municipalities or local residents, to assist in identifying development priorities in a partnership process or to prepare actual urban development projects, programmes and to provide management support in the implementation of projects. We offer our services in complexity, individually tailored to the relevant municipality or urban area in close cooperation with the affiliated departments of TRENECON as deemed appropriate. 

In our consulting activity, services offered to municipalities we build on our experience with the consulting and cooperation service provided to the Managing Authority for Regional Development Programmes in connection with the preparation and implementation of both the Regional Operational  Programmes (2007-2013) and the Regional and Urban Development Operational Programme (2014-2020).
