Cycling

Generation Y has greatly changed the traditions of urban mobility., and cycling to work from villages and small towns is now gradually expanding in large cities as a fashionable, easily and accessible means of transport.  Public transport and cycling are gaining ground, a change that transport planners had better follow. Cycling sets special requirements towards existing infrastructure to which regulation must also adapt.

TRENECON has extensive experience in cycling infrastructure and systems. This is partly due to the knowledge gained first-hand in collaboration with COWI AS transport designers. With their strong international experience, our engineers  had a major contribution in the development of the regulation of domestic cycling transport and the formulation of design guidelines. Our company designed the largest Hungarian bike sharing system – MOL Bubi  – from the concept to the technical specifications, and the technical documentation necessary for public procurement (it was used as the pilot, for example, in the procurement of the Győr system).

Our company provides the full range of services for the development of bicycle projects at all stages: beginning from concept to design, project preparation to the construction. EU funding applications for cycling developments, road and road engineering and civil engineering plans for infrastructure, the specification of bike systems and equipment, as well as the environmental and economic analyses are all produced by our in-house specialists.
