TRENECON has participated in the development of the Sewage Sludge Management and Recovery Strategy, which includes a detailed presentation and assessment of the state–of–play the set of goals and objectives and the conditions of sludge management in Hungary. Our competence was substantiated and enhanced by an earlier study we produced on the analysis of the long-term management, disposal and recovery of sewage sludge in Budapest.
Our company has provided consulting services to the establishment of several waste management systems in Hungary, including such large projects like the ones for the Budapest, the Kaposmenti, the Danube-Vértes Közi– and Paks waste management associations. We have prepared studies for landfill reclamation projects throughout the country.
As a consortium member, we concluded a multi-annual framework contract with the Energy Centre Non–profit Ltd. (predecessor of EEEOP Managing Authority, the Ministry of National Development) under which we evaluated the national waste management systems, updated the relevant cost-benefit analyses and made a nationwide summary assessment. The analyses targeted compliance with EU requirements applying comprehensive waste management modelling, the optimisation of installations and the assessment of national financial sustainability and charging regime.
